Michael is Technical Director of FWR Group (Sustainability Strategy, Consulting, and Education), and a senior sustainability professional with nearly 15 years experience in consultation, strategic advice, and education for sustainability.

An AtKisson Associate and Affiliate since 2003, his background includes strategic planning, environmental and sustainability policy development, technical sustainability advice related to urban development, and consultation to facilitate sustainable outcomes for business and Government agencies.

Michael’s passion is twofold. First, he is interested in the development of sustainable places and cities, through a policy, planning, design, and management. Second, he is interested in developing effective strategy and policy to assist in making sustainability happen, through education and information, and through engaging people in “doing sustainability“. Michael is based in Brisbane, Australia where he lives with his wife.
